National Geographic Kids review.

Updated: Jan 4, 2023

So delighted to see Oisin's review of #TheOctopusDaduAndMe in Nat Geo Kids!!!

(My 7 yo subscribes but we nearly missed this as last months copy got lost in the postal strike!!!! Emergency newsagent run!)

9 year old Oisin’s review reads:

“This book is about a girl called Sashi and her Dadu (grandfather) who has dementia. Sashi visits an aquarium to take her mind off the changes that are happening to her Dadu, and makes friends with an octopus called Ian. She wants to help him escape back to the ocean.

I liked that Sashi was good friends with her Dadu because it reminded me of my great granny who had dementia, too. I really enjoyed this book and it kept me guessing!”

You can also win a copy of The Octopus, Dadu and Me from Nat Geo UK this month, along with The Ministry of Unladylike Activity, Bright New World and The House of Shells: https://www.natgeokids.com/uk/competition/win-books-from-issue-211/
